The 7/8 Track teams took on Boonville last night. The 7th boys were defeated by the Panthers, but there were some first place finishers: Sam Thomas (long jump, 100m) and Wyatt Salaman (1600m). The 8th boys defeated Boonville, 53-52. First place finishers were: Jackson Baldwin (shot put & discus), Alex Stewart (long jump, 100m, 200m) and Noah Rapp (800m, 1600m). The 7th girls also defeated Boonville, 63-42. First place finishers were: Emma Weilbrenner (shot put & discus), Katie Carner (high jump, 100m), Maiya Courey (long jump), Courtney Bourne (100m hurdles, 200m), Cora Epley (400m) and the 3200m Relay (Maci Selke, Nicole Tucker, Meredith Crawford, Cora Epley). The 8th girls also won, 80-25. First place finishers were: Makenna Russell (shot put & discus), Ashley Underwood (high jump), Cydney Cole (100m hurdles & 400m), Rosie Petty (800m), 3200m Relay (Maddie Bulkley, Rosie Petty, Sarah Kelley, Kailyn Long), 400m Relay (Darra Brown, Ashley Underwood, Alison Simpson, Hallie Fisher), 1600m Relay (Ashley Underwood, Alison Simpson, Kailyn Long, Cydney Cole). Congratulations!
Special Olympics will have a Track meet on Friday evening at 5:00pm at the MVHS Track. Come out & support our athletes!
Sports Camps Available: Softball, Golf, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Boys Tennis, Football & Baseball.
The last day for swim make-ups is May 15. Students can make-up on Tuesday nights at open swim, on M, W, Th. Afternoons (3:15-3:45pm) or M-F mornings (7:15-7:45am). The last open swim is May 13.
Intramurals will only be held on Thursday this week (3:05-3:45pm).
The final working Student Council meeting of the year will be this Thursday…don’t miss it!
Today, after school, from 3:05-4:00pm, students/parents may come to room 104 in the library and check the lost & found items that have accumulated this year at MVJHS. Any unclaimed items will be recycled/donated at the end of the school year.
